Dear Friend (52 weekly devotions to encourage, challenge and inspire) Volume 2

Journey through the year with these 52 weekly devotions. Each devotional aims to help you connect with God, to understand more about His Word, the Bible and how it applies to daily life in the 21st Century. Included in each devotional is a “To Think About” section which encourages personal reflection and application; and “My Thoughts” section for journalling. This book is largely based on the author’s own journey with God.

“If you want to read someone’s personal journey in life that is totally transparent and honest, this is for you. Vicki has struggled with ME and sometimes lack of confidence in her life and gives Scriptural references that are helpful for anyone who has had their struggles. Also, she closes each chapter with questions the reader can take time to ponder on. Love her openness and would recommend reading this book. A different kind of devotional to others I have read. I read it more like a book than a weekly devotional, but I intend to go back and look at the questions again.” (Marg)

“Great to savour verses over a week to allow them to marinade in the soul and feed the spirit a meal full of flavour. Love the simplicity, hoping to use in our home group to encourage people to get into the word and share a week in turn to stimulate discussion for everyone in different places on their faith journey and bring them on. You will be blessed if you read this.” (Judith)

“Excellent book to use as a regular weekly read or to pick up and chose a topic to meet you need at a particular moment. Written honestly and openly with challenges/questions to think about at the end of each devotion.” (Jackie A)

“Each week I look forward to reading another entry and working through it. It’s been a real blessing to me and I can see how God has been using it as a tool to help me see clearer His will in my life. I would recommend this book wholeheartedly to anybody wanting to deepen their relationship with God and I love that you have a week to properly pray and think through any issues raised. A great devotionall!” (Katrina)

Praying Through Proverbs: Fresh, reflective and helpful everyday prayers inspired from the book of Proverbs (published October 2019)

Attractive, easy to read and relatable This book of prayers, written as a digest of each chapter of Proverbs, is a delightful little book – every prayer written in today’s language and very easy to read.
Accessible and natural, Praying Through Proverbs puts into writing what we ourselves may well be praying. This book is easy to pick up and read in the busyness of life, and a simple, uncomplicated accompaniment to the book of Proverbs. A great gift idea!” (Dawn)

A lovely little book I really love this little book of prayers through the proverbs. I’ve found it’s really helped me form prayers around some scripture which isn’t always easy to read, and the prayers are delightful – they are comforting, challenging and sensitive. I love the pictures which accompany the prayers, they help me focus on the passage even more. Vicki brings a fresh and enticing perspective to the book of Proverbs in these daily prayers. In reflecting on these perceptive and lyrical words, rooted in profound authenticity, the reader is both deeply comforted and rigorously challenged. Highly recommended.” (BooksEverywhere)

An Advent Devotional: Faith – Hope – Joy – Love & Worship

A daily devotional for the Advent Season. There are twenty-four daily readings with six readings in each of the four weeks. If you start at the beginning of Advent you will have one day each week to either catch up on a reading or to return to what you have read for the week. Alternatively, you may like to begin this book on 1st December through to Christmas Eve. Each day includes scripture, a short thought, something to consider and space to journal any thoughts. This book works well for individuals or can be used within a small group.

“This is a deceptively simple little Advent devotional but one which has much depth to it. In addition to reflections on suggested bible readings there are points to consider every day, inviting careful thought on how the reading links with your own life. There is also blank space to journal your responses, which is a nice touch. At its current price this is very good value for money. A nice little Advent gift and ideal for small group study.” (Amazon Customer)

Pause in God’s Presence: Praying the Psalms Volume 1 & 2

These books will help you to take regular moments to pause and be still in God’s presence as you read the prayers inspired by Psalms 1-150. The books will open up your eyes in a fresh way to the book of Psalms. These books include black and white illustrations that complement each prayer. You have the option of colouring in the illustration as you reflect on the psalm and the prayer.

“These are great books for picking up during or after a busy day and just meditating on the given Psalm, prayer and picture. The author and illustrator have both captured the essence of the Book of Psalms in a way that is beneficial to the receiver. If you like colouring the images are black and white and can be coloured to the reader’s choice. I love them and am enjoying doing a picture each day. Make great gifts including Christmas, birthday, wedding, anniversary, baptism etc.” (Gillian)

“This accompaniment to the Book of Psalms offers a simple prayer for each Psalm, along with a beautiful little black and white picture to colour in, if desired. An engaging and interactive pair of books, they provide a reason to pause and reflect … a peaceful oasis of mindfulness in the middle of a busy day.” (D James)
